VCAL

Guest Speakers

This was a fantastic opportunity that helped our students to feel more connected to the community in our remote learning time.

During remote learning our VCAL students were given the opportunity to engage with guest speakers. Neha Samar, Ben Vanderzee and Lisa Kerr kindly met our students online and introduced them to an exciting community-based project.

They were looking for enthusiastic students who could help them design gift packs as thank you gifts for local businesses, who participated in The Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) program in 2020/2021.

This project gave students a greater connection to their community and helped them to build their time management, project coordination and communication skills, as well as gaining valuable work-related skills in line with their qualification.

Above is guest speakers Neha Samar (left), Ben Vanderzee (top right) and Lisa Kerr (bottom right) from Goulburn Murray Local Learning and Employment Network, presenting their community-based project to VCAL students during remote learning.
