for the holidays

Dear Parents and Students,

Lockdown holidays are upon us and we are all asking ourselves, what are we going to do if we have to be in lockdown for these holidays?  

Here is a list of activities you might want to share with your child(ren).

• Go on an Alphabet Scavenger Hunt
• Play hopscotch in a hallway
• Create an obstacle course (and clean it up after)
• Play the floor is lava
• Play 'I spy' clean up - name an item, clean it up before the clock runs out.
• Teddy bear hide and seek
• Dance your heart out
• Play twister
• Follow the leader
• Simon says
• Play red light, green light, or giant's treasure
• Do a deck of cards work out (like Mr. Ru's)
• Start a journal
• Create your own magazine
• Make up silly songs
• Read to each other or start a book club
• Make up a secret language
• Host a radio show
• Build a house with cards
• Draw cartoons or comic strips
• Make a funny skit
• Play charades
• Design a new board game
• Put on a shadow puppet show (like Pak Kris' Wayang with 5/6)
• Learn a new language
• Make friendship bracelets
• Write (and direct) a short movie, song, poem, play, or music video
• Fix something that is broken
• Look through old photo albums and make a video out of it
• Research a family tree
• Put together a time capsule
• Make a tissue flower bouquet
• Make pressed flower cards

• Create a vision or a dream board
• Design your dream house
• Take a virtual Museum tour
• Watch animal documentaries
• Learn the constellations and locate them on a clear night

All these activities can be researched online and you will find a lot of help to get started with some.
