Food Technology
Once again it has been wonderful to see the students in Years 7 -10 produce a fabulous assortment of food whilst remote learning at home.
Year 7 Food
The Year 7 students have made Minestrone Soup with Garlic bread, Sausage Rolls, Venison Rolls and decorated cupcakes.
Students have prepared and presented their products taking into consideration aesthetics. I encourage all students to continue their efforts at home and try some new recipes with their families over the holidays.
Sweet Desires Elective
Students in Sweet Desires are to be congratulated on the amazing products they have created whilst at home. Students have made Brownies, Vanilla Slice, Rocky Road, Orange Cake, Banana Cake, Jelly Cakes, Pavlova and Chocolate Slice! An incredible achievement for all the students who have submitted and shared their work.
As Roald Dahl once said “Never do anything by halves if you want to get away with it. BE OUTRAGEOUS. Go the whole hog. Make sure everything you do is so completely crazy it’s UNBELIEVABLE.”
Thank you to all the students for all you wonderful efforts over the last 5 weeks I look forward to seeing and hearing about your food creations!
Agriculture
As part of their Agriculture tasks, students in Years 3-6 were challenged to find something in their garden or paddock to produce a meal for your family. Here are some creations from the home kitchens!

Woodwork
Students were happily surprised when their woodwork model that they started the term working on was delivered to their homes. Not so sure that the parents will be as happy, with all the ‘Air Guitar’ moves that I’d imagine are taking place.
The Year 1/2 students loved helping to trace, sand, nail, glue and pyro burn their models. Some students have even brought models into school from home and given them to the wood teacher, who has put them in his office in pride of place.
It’s great to see all levels from Year 7 right down to Foundation enjoying the technology based electives that they are able to experience at Edenhope College.
