VCE Oral and Written Test Results
This year, due to the pandemic, it has been quite challenging to find different ways to get students involved in cultural events such as the language competitions.
Our VCE students took the challenge, however, and participated in ‘Le Concours Berthe Mouchette’, the French competition organised by the Alliance Française de Melbourne.
The Year 11 students completed only the written exams part of the competition, whilst the Year 12s competed in both the oral communication and written exams – which was another valuable way of getting more feedback for their final year exam preparation.
We received the French competition results last week and congratulations to all our participants for their effort, particularly to Noreigh Zuniga (2020 VCE Oral Finalist), who also competed in the Oral Communication Finals at the Alliance last Sunday 13 September.

“Bonjour a tous - I was fortunate enough to get through the finals for the Berthe Mouchette Oral Exam Competition. It was pretty nerve wracking, being in Year 12, and stressful enough with the final exams coming up. This year was quite different, especially with the current pandemic - joining a Zoom meeting with two unknown people was a unique experience. Nevertheless, I saw this experience as preparation for my upcoming French Oral Exam this October. It assisted me to build up my confidence and improve my skills. Special thanks to Madame Peerbux for the constant support especially for giving up time after school to practise with me.”
