Student Work Placement Awards

As part of their Vocational Education Courses, each student is required to complete 35 hours of Industry Work Placement for both Year 11 and 12 for every course. Our Work Placement Industry partner is MWLP who arrange the majority of our placements for our students. MWLP organise approximately 6,500 student work placements across all industry frameworks (subjects).

MWLP in conjunction with their host employers selects the best-performing students from Work Placement for their industry awards. The students are nominated by the host employer and then they undertake interviews with MWLP to decide on the finalists for each framework. MWLP have just advised of the 2019 Work Placement awards.

I would like to congratulate the following students from St Gregory’s who were nominated for the Work Placement awards:

I would also like to congratulate Jaykeb, Tyler and Ignatius on being selected as a finalist in the ‘Macarthur Work Placement Student of the Year Awards’. This achievement is a testament to their hard work during Work Placement and a credit to their trainers who prepared them so well for this placement through their work in the classroom.

As a result of their hard work Luke, Jaykeb and Tyler were all successful in being offered full-time apprenticeships after the Work Placements.

For any parent or student that wishes to discuss the vocational options available at the College please feel free to contact me.
