Great Victorian Bike Ride
Great Victorian Bike Ride
Congratulations to the following participants who were part of the Great Victorian Bike Team Beaumaris SC:
Charli Cowen, Chloe Johnson, Ollie Pearce, Felix Lichte, Rudi Litche (parent), Marlon Rayson Harwood, Charlie Bruce, Sean Bruce (parent) Baden Mooney, Shaun Mooney (parent) Bjorn Steguweit, Harriet Egan, Raph Loeper, Connor Tasci, Winnie Barton, Kai Snell, Mitch Nielsen, Greg Nielsen (parent) and Joseph Shaw.
Throughout the GVBR each participant was taken outside their comfort zone and placed in an unfamiliar setting where they each had to demonstrate their determination and persistence, as they were tested both mentally and physically. All participants should be extremely proud of themselves for completing the 339km journey from Bright to Rutherglen. We were certainly fortunate to have been able to share in this amazing experience together!
For those of you interested in the 2019 Great Victorian Bike Ride (GVBR), it is considered Australia’s biggest and most iconic riding experience. This rolling bike festival pedals to a new town each day, setting up camp where riders can soak up an incredible atmosphere. In 2019 Beaumaris Secondary College will participate in the 5-day event, travelling through some of the most picturesque pockets of Victoria from Port Fairy to Torquay, covering approximately 305km. All those interested should complete the expression of interest form, please click here on the link to access the ‘GVBR Expression of Interest 2019’ form.
