Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary Excursion

On Wednesday 21st November all Learning Teams participated in an excursion to our local Marine Sanctuary at Ricketts Point. Students undertook a rock pool ramble, a beach exploration focussed on seaweeds and sea shells and a discovery walk where they studied our coastal plants. The focus of these sessions was the identification and classification of our native marine and coastal species. In our BEST classes, students used this work to complete their PBL which is framed around the classification of the species at Ricketts Point.
