Concert!!
Wow! What a busy end to Term 3 and start to Term 4, the Prep's last term in their first year of school. The concert was a big hit and was enjoyed by all. Here are some recounts of Prep C's favourite moments.
Sports Day!
We ended our first week back at school with our first sports day and we loved it! We did so many activities and races and had so much fun cheering for our teams. Here is what we thought of it.
"I liked doing the obstacle course because it was fun." – Matthew
"I liked the running races." – Nicholas
The running races were fun. I ran very fast. - Tereisha
"I liked doing the relay race because I liked passing the baton to the other people." - Jayden
I am wonderfully made!
This term in inquiry we are exploring and learning about our senses. We know that we have five senses which are taste, touch, sight, smell and hearing. Our senses help us all the time to do lots of things.
"You can hear lots of things with your ears." – Averie
"On our tongues we have lots of taste buds." – Thomas
"We can do lots of stuff with our senses." – Kester
"We have nerve endings in our fingers." – Ava
"We have lots of taste buds on our tongues." – Lena
"We need our mouth and nose to taste things." – Olivia

We created and labelled Mr and Mrs Potato heads with all their features. We also made a poster using different materials that felt different when we touched them.
Smart Spelling -Teacher
As part of our Smart Spelling focus our word was teacher. We spoke a lot about how wonderful our teachers are at St John Vianney’s and how they can help us. Our art activity was to draw a teacher at our school without telling anyone who we had drawn. At the end we had to guess who the teacher was. Here are some of our beautiful portraits of some teachers. Can you guess who they are?
