Dear Families,
THE FETE IS ONLY 3 DAYS AWAY!
My post this week will be around the Parish Fete, to be held this Saturday October 26th so please read carefully
Fete Contact
If you need to contact our Parish Fete Coordinator Alice her number is 0413 999 898. We are still accepting donations for all stalls especially the grocery stall. You are more than welcome to bring donations into the office or on the day of the Fete
Student Supervision at Fete
Please note that parents are in charge of their children at the Fete. If parents are assisting in setting up or packing up for the Fete and have children with them they are in charge of supervising their children.
Fete Wristbands
Parents have the option to purchase a wristband for their child. The wristband is unlimited meaning children can go on the rides as many times as they wish. Wristbands can now be purchased through CDFpay and will strictly close TOMORROW Thursday 24th October at 4PM.
***Wristbands will be given to students on the day of the Fete at a booth, from 9am.
School Closure Day
We will having a School Closure Day, this Friday 25th October- the day before the Fete.
Please note that Camp Australia will not run the Service on this day. Our Closure Day will be the beginning of our preparation for the School Review which will be held later in 2020.
Our School Staff will be off site to allow for the FETE set up
Cake Stall
Thank you for your preparation for the Cake Stall Please drop your cakes, marked with all ingredients into the Hall at St. John Vianney’s on Friday, October 25 after 3:00 p.m. or Saturday,
October 26.
Please do not send items containing fresh/whipped cream or require refrigeration

Raffle Tickets
A BIG thank you to all parents, families and friends who have supported the community by purchasing raffle tickets.
If you have not returned your raffle tickets please ensure you do so to the office as soon as possible. (SOLD OR UNSOLD)
Big Stage 'Performances' Schedule
Please see attached. Students should arrive at the Big Stage to meet their teachers at least 5 minutes before performing.
Those students in the talent quest are to meet Mrs Russo beside the stage 10 minutes before the Talent Quest.
Fete Set Up and Fete Clean Up
Assistance is required with set up and clean up.
If you can assist on Thursday 24th October between 5pm - 7pm (Heavy Lifting) Meet at the Performing Arts area.
On Friday 25th October after 9am if any parents can help set up outside stalls/marquees and put our chairs please meet Alice. The Hall needs to be set up but can only be done so after 3pm (After Bingo).
On Saturday 26th October after the Fete 4:40pm - 6pm there is a clean up and pack up of stalls. Please assist even for a short time.
On Sunday 27 October, at 9am - 10:30am we require parents to assist in tidying up the school grounds ready for school to begin on Monday.
Camp Australia Out Of Hours Care on Thursday afternoon
OHSC will be in the Scanlon Building on Thursday afternoon. You will need to park in Parish Carpark and walk to the Scanlon Building to sign out and pick up your child .
School Closure Days for the remainder of the year
As you are aware from Newsletters and 'Dates to Remember' School will be closed for students on:
Friday 25th October
Monday 4th November (Cup Eve)
Tuesday 5th November (Melbourne Cup Public Holiday)
Monday 9th December
School will conclude for the year on Wednesday December 18th at 2:30pm
Swimming Prep - Year 2
Please note that swimming from Prep - Year 2 will be commencing next Wednesday 30th October. Students are required to wear a swimming cap which can be purchased from the office for $2.00
