Senior School

From the Head of Senior School

As part of the VACS Service focus for Term Two, the Kingfisher Fair planning group prepared wraps for the Peer Support participants. This was to give them a practice at catering to a large number of people, but it was also to enhance the relationships amongst the Peer Support teams. It was wonderful to see our older and younger students mixing and socialising in the P&F Senior School Quadrangle.

Another VACS activity is the 'Random Acts of Kindness', a group coordinated by Mrs Henderson. Yesterday these students posted stickers of acknowledgement and encouragement around the Senior School. It is a small and easy thing to do, but has considerable impact. It just gives people a lift.

Ms Moncur, our School Counsellor, shared an interesting clip recently about the positive neurological effects of kindness – particularly on the giver. We continue to encourage kindness and empathy among our students, very much as core values.
