LITERACY - Di Manthos

When we give students a choice in what to write about they write with purpose, interest and enthusiasm.The students in Years 3 and 4 wrote a paragraph using an image they created based on what they like and what they know a lot about. An authentic purpose leads to authentic writers. The students worked on the criteria that they needed to begin their paragraph with a catchy,interesting line, they had to use simple or complex sentences and add detail to some of their sentences. Students investigated real authors use short and long sentences to create a story. Topics they wrote about included Yoda from Star wars, a favourite pokemon character or a book character.  

LOTE (ITALIAN) 

Our Year 3/4 students enjoyed learning about Italian card games during their lesson.
