Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea  2021

Last Thursday 27th May, as Melbournians were all finding out that we were going back into lockdown, Wantirna College staff were lucky enough to be taking in the news over a cuppa and a scone.

We were one of 19,861 groups/workplaces who had registered to be part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Run by the Cancer Council, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a community event that raises vital funds to make a difference to those impacted by cancer. In the past 5 years $250 million dollars has gone towards cancer research and has helped to markedly increase cancer survival rates.

On the day, Wantirna staff were able to enjoy a range of sweet and savoury treats and donated to the cause. They were also able to honour a friend or family member lost due to cancer by posting a dedication to them on the staffroom wall.

If you would like to help support this important cause you can still donate at: https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/
