Last weekend we celebrate International Friendship Day. Fun Fact - This day was originally founded by Hallmark and then proclaimed  by the United Nations in 2011.

Friendship and connections are synonymous with bonding, and building those common bonds goes beyond sharing a trait, characteristic, or favourite pastime with another person or group. It importantly includes promoting a global commitment and understanding of diversity and inclusion. Even in our differences, we can find common ground. And find friendship.

Celebrating friendships through things as simple as a telephone call, an email, a note or text, a coffee hang out, going to for a walk, spending time in nature, playing a game, even going shopping. We have more in common than we all realize. Let’s celebrate these commonalities. Happy Friendship Day!!
