Principal's Report

Courage, Faith, Love

Dear Parents and Friends of St Agatha's Primary School,

Many of our Year 4 students are in the midst of preparing to receive the Sacrament of First Communion. I had the pleasure of running one of the parent workshops with Sister Mary and Father Stanley. I was impressed with the children's knowledge of the parts of Mass and the way they could relate to the Gospel stories of the Last Supper and the Loaves and Fishes. The students, along with their parents, identified the mystery of these stories and the miracle achieved through generosity. The students and their parents discussed the importance of receiving the Eucharist each Sunday to nourish their faith just as food nourishes the body.

We are well on the way in our planning for 2023. If you have a child who should be starting school next year, please contact the office as soon as possible for an enrolment form. Any child who turns 5 before April 30 2023 is eligible to begin school next year.  We are in the process of sending out acceptance letters to all those who have already enrolled and we would hate for anyone to miss out! Next week, we will start to interview the siblings who are starting school next year. I look forward to meeting those families!

Congratulations to the students who represented the school at the District Athletics. I have heard that our students were wonderfully behaved and we were proud to have them represent us! Well done on your efforts and for those who made it through to the next round.
