Art Lesson

Recently students including Bella, Indy, Lexa, and Charlotte prepared an art lesson for 5/6BG. The students were instructed on how to draw hibiscus flowers and colour them in with the colours of their choice. In the art lesson we used 'CSALT' which stands for Colour, Size, Abstract, Light and Tone. The class and ourselves really enjoyed the lesson. The art we did is now hanging up in the classroom. We had lots of fun!

Dinosaur Literacy Lesson

Jaxon loves dinosaurs and wanted to share his extensive knowledge with the class. He created a presentation for the class that involved note-taking and visualisation. Jaxon did an amazing job and has inspired a love of dinosaurs among the class.

Personal Development/Health

Kindness   By Cooper, Travis and Daniel

We have had a focus on Kindness and T.R.U.S.T this year. Here are some of the very important things we have learnt and are working on:

Definition Of Kindness

Kindness is when you care for each other, trust people and  respect people. We strive to help people and make sure we can  trust our peers and teachers. We make sure we listen and respect them.

What We Have Been Learning In 5/6BG

In 5/6BG we have been learning about how to be kind and respect our peers. Kindness revolves around many things like trust and inclusiveness. In 5/6BG we have learned about kindness so we can be better role models and help others when needed.

Trust Definition

Trust will help us in life. The T stands for trigger, the stands for resolve,  U stands for unite,  S stands for solved and the other T stands for trust. For example I was playing handball and someone got out and they weren't taking it, so we all formed a circle and decided a replay  was fair.

Respect

Respect is something that you need to be to be kind and when you respect someone that means you are being a kind person. Like caring for your peers and hearing their opinion and don't just say yours.

Inclusiveness definition

Inclusiveness is where you include others you wouldn't normally play with or if you see someone upset you can include them! For example, say if you're playing a handball game with your friends, and someone wants to join, just let them join and be happy. That's how you include people.

Conclusion

So in conclusion you have to be kind and include, respect and trust others and gain trust from others if you want others to be  kind to you!

Impromptu Speeches

We have been having fun while learning to 'think quickly' this term with our literacy focus.
