SCHOOL INFORMATION

School Photo Day

All students present at school on Friday 17 February, will have their photo taken.  A photo pack order form will be handed out to all students on the day.

There will be a photo catch-up day on Tuesday 28 February, for students that are absent or unavailable on the initial day.

Once school photos have been uploaded to the Compass Portal, parents will be able to view the photos and choose which photos they would like to order online through Compass (which is the preferred method). Online Compass accepts VISA and MasterCard.

Alternatively parents who prefer to pay by cheque can order manually and post their order directly to the school photo company.

Please note that sibling photos require some post-processing work and are thus uploaded approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the day on which they are taken.

The school photo company also provides the schools Student ID cards.  Your child’s initial card is provided after their school photo is taken and is free of charge.  Replacement cards are ordered through the Parent or Student Portal.

Please note that the close off for excursions is three school days prior and sport one school day prior to the event.

It is necessary to close off these activities at this time to allow for  payment lists, rolls, staffing, transport etc to be finalised.

Students with MEDICAL Conditions

Parents are reminded to advise the school of any change in diagnosis and treatment of their child’s medical conditions.

Any student who has to take special medication at school should lodge the medication with the school first aid staff, Rondahe Lomas or Samantha Stribbling. This medication can then be given and monitored by sick bay staff when needed.

Insurance and Ambulance Cover

The Department of Education does not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students.

Parents and guardians of students, who do not have student accident insurance or ambulance cover, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.  It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to look into their preferred options in this regard.

Parents or guardians can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.  The Department cannot provide advice to parents or guardians on the purchase of individual student accident policy or ambulance cover.

Private property brought to school by students, staff or visitors is not insured and the Department does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage.  This can include mobile phones, calculators, toys, sporting equipment and cars parked on school premises.  As the Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property, students and staff are discouraged from bringing any unnecessary or particularly valuable items to school.
