Traffic Lights

Crossing at the lights!
REMINDER ALL STUDENTS TO CROSS WITH CARE AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS
A friendly reminder to all students to use the traffic lights on Hawdon Street when getting picked up or dropped off for school.
An alternative safe spot to drop off/pick up students is along Feshti Street or Rea Street (away from the busy Hawdon Street).
Whilst at times it can be seen as an inconvenience for students to walk towards and wait for the traffic lights, students are required to cross safely at the traffic lights where a staff member is on duty.
A number of incidents have been reported by Shepparton High School staff who have been deliberately ignored by students for directing them to the traffic lights, in Australia on average 46 students die at school crossings each year, with even more being injured.
We encourage all families to please drop their student at safe drop off points, and ask that students follow the instructions to use the traffic lights by teachers and parents.
