Debating

The DAV season of 2018 continues to gather momentum and two St Bede’s teams have continued their campaigns, with significant results and stellar debating.

Congratulations to State Semi-Finalists – Elijah McEvoy, Lyndon Bulman, Lachlan Doyle, Ben Martinelli and Tomas Cooling. From a starting pool of 800 D Grade teams, SBC 1 remains one of the final four ongoing competitors. Their next challenge is against the team from Korowa Anglican Girls School, on Wednesday October 10th, at Trinity Grammar School, 8.00pm. Good Luck boys!

Congratulations to State Quarter-Finalists - Jack Pooley, Jacob Barry, Will Devlin and Conor Mooney. From a starting pool of 400 C Grade teams, SBC 2 finished the 2018 campaign in eighth place after being beaten in the Quarter Final by a St Kevin’s College team. This team is to be especially commended for their brilliant efforts and most effective collaboration this year; after not having won a D Grade debate for the past three years, they remained undefeated this year until Quarter Finals – a fantastic season and an exceptional achievement. Well done boys!
