Year 9

Over recent Weeks

the Year 9 St Bede’s students were involved in a series of Learn to Dance Lessons with the Year 9 Kilbreda students. These lessons were in preparation for the much-anticipated Year 9 Social, held at Kilbreda on Tuesday, September 11. Past student Matt Carlson was the DJ and he definitely understood his demographic, inspiring most of the students to stay on the dance floor for the whole night. The hall was tastefully decorated by the Kilbreda girls and the students looked resplendent in their varied interpretations of ‘smart casual attire’, some opting to wear suits while others looked just as impressive in a smart pair of jeans and a polo. Whilst dress was important, conduct, manners and a healthy dose of enthusiasm were, in my mind, the real yardsticks of a successful night, and the students did not disappoint on any of these fronts!

Early in Term 4, the Year 9 Lake Eildon Survival Camps begin. Thanks to the parents who have taken the time to read the comprehensive Camp Information Booklet. All the information relating to equipment, packing lists, location, food suggestions and return times can be found in this booklet. We understand that some students may choose to bring their mobile phone. The camp dates are outlined below. If you have any questions about the camp, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the College.
