Harmony Day

'Everyone belongs'

Australia is one of the most multicultural countries in the world, from the oldest continuous culture of our First Australians to the nearly 50 per cent of Australians who were born overseas or have a parent who was. Harmony Day is about respect and belonging for all Australians regardless of culture and language and the ongoing theme is 'everyone belongs'.

At St Norbert College, we have more than 40 different nationalities that make up our diverse community. We celebrate our diversity, from the traditional owners of this land to those who have travelled from countries all around the world to be here.

On Monday, 22 March, the College will host a whole school Liturgical Service, Harmony Day activities such as paper doll competition and multicultural quiz. On this day students and staff can choose to order their lunch from six different International cuisines. Students are also invited to wear any formal traditional cultural garment from their own personal heritage.
