From the classroom-Year 3

A Quick Flip to Flexible Learning Doesn't Phase Us!

From Jaimi, Year 3 Teacher

Year 3 has hit the ground running this year, and home learning hasn't dampened our spirit!

This week, students have been busy unpacking 'writing seeds' and writing detailed narratives with impressive ideas, searching for maths around their home, and practicing their reading fluency by reading out loud.

Earlier in this team, each class developed their own class 'Acknowledgement of Country' and we have explored the importance of 'country' to the Wurundjeri people. Students have been exploring Australia's states and territories, through the lens of our traditional landowners and language groups.

We, the teachers and students of 3B, acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, we thank them for letting us use the land, the fields, the beautiful marks in the trees, and the flowing rivers. We thank you for caring for the land, and promise to do the same. We apologise for what has happened in the past and we pay our respects to elders past, present and
future.

We are really looking forward to being back in the classroom, but in the meantime, we are proud of the fantastic efforts of Year 3!
