School Based Apprenticeships (SBATs)

By all means it has certainly been a successful first term within VCAL with 7 students securing themselves an SBAT across many fields and 10 students beginning a work placement. This is an enormous achievement , particularly given the impact COVID Restrictions and Lockdowns have had on small businesses and the economy. VCAL students have achieved these employment opportunities due to perseverance, being resilient when an employer declined the request and showing a passion to pursue these trades. Positive feedback from employers, showcasing each student’s skills, work ethic and willingness to learn is evidence that our students are well on their way along their chosen career path. We congratulate our SBAT students and wish them continued success in their part time apprenticeship this year. Well done: Lex Flodstrom, Noak Varga, Jarrel Sharma, Jason Yakub, Brandon Langevin, Aiden Guarnaccia and Ryan Della Salandra.
