Visual Arts and Technology News

Term 1 has been busy in Visual Arts and Technology classes. Students have been designing and producing some wonderful work.
Year 10 Visual Communication students are working on packaging design inspired by the colours and shapes of the Great Barrier Reef.
Year 10 Textiles have been printing fabric (tote bags and cushions) with lemons, potatoes and leaves.
Year 9 Information Technology students working on an assessment task - Digital Photography and how data compression operates.
Food Technology students have been cooking a range of recipes. Year 10s prepared a range of garnishes, Year 9s have been cooking a range of home-made and convenience foods, Year 11 Chocolate Oaty cookies and Year 12 Mini Lemon tarts and Chicken Caesar salad. VCAL students designed and cooked their own burger.
Year 9 Wood Technology students have designed and are now producing a table.
Year 9 Design and Technology students are using CAD to design a box and will cut the wood using the schools new MulitCam CNC machine.
Year 9 Art students have been exploring Australian Indigenous artworks, using a similar style and painting techniques to create their own artworks.
