School News

Hello from the School Canteen….I’m very happy to see the kids back at school and thriving this term.  Due to Covid-related supplier issues, Bunjil’s Kitchen will be closed for the remainder of Term 1. However, we are super excited to offer a Sushi Special Food Day!  The ever-popular Sushi day will run on Wednesday 17th March.

How it Works: Parents/students order and pay directly on the sushi@school website  You can order Twin Packs (2 rolls) which are a pre-packed and ready-to-serve, including soy sauce.  Orders are open from Thursday 4th March until 10am to Tuesday 16th March – Don’t forget as no late orders will be accepted.  We look forward to the canteen reopening in Term 2.  Watch this space!  Lisa

Harmony Day: Friday 19 March

Harmony Day will be celebrated at BPS on Friday 19 March. The aim of Harmony Week is to foster inclusion, respect and a sense of belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values. The slogan for Harmony Week is ‘Everyone Belongs’.

On the day, our students are encouraged to add ‘a touch of orange’ to their uniform. This could be a hat, scarf, socks a t-shirt etc. but school uniform needs to be worn. Why orange? Traditionally, orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.

Each year level will be participating in Harmony Day activities and we will all be enjoying a performance from Rhythm of Life African Drumming at assembly, at 2.45 pm, to conclude the day.
