Meet Justin - Youth Resource Officer

G’day, My name is Justin and I am the Youth Resource Officer for Victoria Police in East Gippsland.

My role in Victoria Police involves proactive approaches, focusing on early intervention, crime prevention, identifying emerging youth-related issues and building partnerships.

To put it plainly, I am here to help. I want to help students and their families to understand the law, deal with any challenges that emerge and help other organisations, locally, to make our community safer and more enjoyable to live in. I have worked with youth for all of my adult life, first as a volunteer in Life Saving Victoria, then after studying Outdoor Education, I moved around Victoria and was lucky enough to travel to the USA and India, living, working and studying outdoor education, and facilitating outdoor activities with youth.

I have worked in Victoria Police for around 8 years and am now very excited to be working in this role. I’m very easy to get in touch with as I am the only Justin working for Victoria Police in East Gippsland. So, feel free to give me a call or come into the Bairnsdale Police Station to have a chat.

New 'Health Hub'  area Malgobila Hub

Our College nurse, Sophie has set up a mini 'Health Hub' with a variety of brochures and information sheets in the senior building for our students. Students are encouraged to check it out and are welcome to take the resources available.
