MEDIEVAL DAY

Greetings!

On Monday 3 May, a special event took place for the Year 8 History classes. These students have been learning about Medieval Europe over the past 3 weeks. On this day, students could dress up as a person from those times.

We saw a vast variety of creative costumes ranging from cardboard knight armour, nun costumes, to kings and queens. A medieval costume pageant ensued, where we got to show off our costumes and the teachers picked their favourite.

Our favourite parts of the day were the challenging activities that we partook. These included constructing siege weapons out of limited materials and building strong card towers that could endure a paper ball being thrown at them.

These activities really got us into the medieval spirit and encouraged us to make new friends with our peers. During this, the Hall was filled to the brim with laughter and smiles.

Overall, thy experience was a jolly good time! Everyone had a lot of fun and came home with new knowledge and sophistication.

Until next time, we bid thee farewell.
