From the Head of Primary's Desk

Welcome to Term 4!

I hope you had a relaxing and refreshing holiday period and your family is feeling ready and excited for all that Term 4 has to offer. A snapshot of some of the activities that will take place at HCC this term include: Prep - Grade 2 Swimming Program, Robotics and Cyber Safety incursions, Grade 3/4 Camp, Grade 5/6 Camp, VCE Camp, Prep and Year 7 Transition Days, Spring Concert, Valedictory Dinner, Grade 6 Graduation Dinner, Year 9 Celebration Night and our regular sporting events just to name a few… and this is in addition to the regular learning activities that occur here on a daily basis. HCC truly is a great place to be!

Amongst the busyness of all these wonderful opportunities our students are able to participate in, I also believe it is important to remind and encourage our students to enjoy each of these activities and to make the most of the time they have with their friends and classmates. Sometimes, in the busyness of life, we can miss this, and one thing COVID taught me is that we should not take the special people and moments in our lives for granted.

In Psalm 90:12, we are encouraged to “number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”. We are reminded to recognise what is important and significant in life, which will in turn give us wisdom in how we approach our day-to-day living.

So, as we head into Term 4, may we encourage one another, and our children, to not take classmates for granted, not take camps for granted, not take graduation dinners and celebration nights for granted, to not take special moments for granted, but instead to cherish them, to embrace them and to enjoy them to the fullest!

God Bless.
