Senior Jersey reminder DEADLINE

A reminder that orders for the 2023 senior jersey will close next Monday 24 October.  To avoid missing out, please place your order before this date. For distribution to occur by April 2023, orders must be finalised by this date and our supplier has advised there will be no second order.

Purchases can be made via the College Monitor System.  Please visit Marist online purchases/student shop/senior clothing/senior jersey 2023.

Student Illness during the day

The correct procedure for students becoming unwell during the day is for them to go to the Health Centre where they will be assessed by one of the nurses on duty. The health centre staff will then communicate with families.

Students are not to use mobile devices to call home to request a pickup. There are several issues with this scenario including using mobile devices during the day at school (students know it should be in their locker), lack of communication with the pastoral leader and duty of care responsibilities.

Day for Daniel

The College is again participating in Day for Daniel on Friday 21 October and students are encouraged to wear red.  Donations of either $2.00 or $5.00 can be made on the day through the Tuckshop Monitor System, using their student ID cards (no cash), starting from 8:00am at the Podium. Students will also be able to purchase snacks and drinks during Break 1.

Guest speakers have been organised to address students on the topics of safety - online and beyond the school gates, personal information and digital footprints, respectful relationships and support available to assist victims.

Kirra Prendergast, CEO of Safe on Social, will also run an online session for parents regarding child safety online on Thursday the 20th of October6:30pm – 7:30pm via Zoom. To reserve a spot, click this link to book a free ticket - https://events.humanitix.com/2022-safe-on-social-media-presentation-parent-session Booking close at 12:00pm Thursday 20 October.

An email with the zoom link will be sent on Thursday afternoon to those who have registered.

Year 12 Final assembly and House Farewell

Year 12 parents were sent a reminder email addressing uniform and grooming standards for their Year 12 sons as they finish the year. The younger students look up to the senior students as role models and the expectations are still in place with uniform and grooming as they have the spotlight put on them during house farewells and final assembly. An opportune time for a haircut to alleviate punitive consequences.

Thank you for your expected support.
