Bird Situation!

The birds are back!

The birds have returned back to Albanvale Primary School after a few years. They have been making nests and laying eggs in the school, so be careful.

We have noticed that close to the big gates there are lots of birds making themselves at home. This is because right now it is nesting and breeding season. This means that the birds are laying eggs and making nests. It means that they are feeling safe and at home at Albanvale Primary School, just like we all do.

Sadly, we have noticed that people are stealing the eggs from the nest and taking them home. We are asking parents to please talk to their child about not touching any eggs in any nests. This will ensure that the birds will have a safe and happy nesting season.

We have also noticed that the birds have been swooping students and teachers on a daily basis. This is because the birds are protecting their young (babies) and they don’t want them to be injured. A friendly reminder for students to try their best to keep away from the birds. We have also seen that students are chasing the birds. This is something that we strongly recommend that they do not do as the books might hurt our students.
