Term Four, 2022

Dear Sacred Heart School Parents and Families,

Our Term Four has been off to a great start. We have had students attend Zone Athletics, welcomed Michael and Louise from CES Ltd to conduct a FIRE Carriers Commissioning, welcomed Preschool students for our first transition visits, our Year 4/5/6 students visited the Preschool and celebrated our SHS Disco organised by our P & F community. Thank you to all of those in our P & F group for creating such a fun community event for our students and families and to our staff for supporting the event. While our term has been off to a great start and will continue to go from strength to strength as we celebrate camps and other school events this term, we are grateful, but also mindful that there are many in our wider community of the Sandhurst Diocese who are suffering. In recent weeks schools in Rochester, Shepparton, Mooroopna, Echuca, Pyramid Hill, Nathalia, Tatura, Kyabram, Kerang and Kialla have been closed or partially closed due to the horrific flooding that has been occurring. While many are still suffering from the floods and some have begun the overwhelming task of a clean up, we keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

God of hope and mercy, we lift up to you all facing the current flood emergency and to those responding with assistance and aid. Protect all who are in any form of danger; provide practical help to those in need; strengthen the weary, console the grieving, heal the suffering; and bless those engaged in disaster relief efforts with safety and courage. Help all people of good will respond with compassion and generous hearts. Amen.

CES Ltd have shared the above St. Vincent de Paul Society flood fundraising campaign. At Sacred Heart School we will look for an opportunity to fundraise for this appeal before the end of year and help those who have been affected.
