Netball
The U15 College team played their third netball match last Saturday against Baimbridge College. The girls all played a mix of positions to push themselves out of their comfort zones. Although this was only the second time that the girls played Baimbridge it was obvious that they have improved immensely since the last time they competed, and were passing the ball more confidently down the court. Although they didn’t win it is pleasing to see the girls becoming a stronger team with each week that passes by. Thank you again to Isla McClure for filling in, we appreciate it.
College’s U18s also played Baimbridge. Going into half time, College were down by 3 goals after what had been a very tough first half. However, the College girls worked hard in the second half and ended up winning by over ten goals. The girls played an extremely strong game and were very deserving of the win. They have been working well as a team and have been extremely resilient throughout their first matches and should all be very proud of the game they have been playing.

Cricket Report
Last week saw the rain continue to disrupt many of the cricket activities in the junior levels, with many of the ovals in the district being deemed too wet to play.
U12
The College U12 team got their season going with a game against Tarrington, played at the Tarrington Lutheran School oval. The match was played in good spirit, with all the available students getting an opportunity with both bat and ball. It was a first-ever match for many of the players; special congratulations to Oscar Hawthorne for hitting his six in a match, as well as to Jimmy Dyer and Thomas Robertson for taking their first wickets. The association is looking to split the U12 team into two smaller teams to ensure students get more action in the matches, though this move is still to be confirmed.
U14 College Blue and College Gold
Both of the U14 teams have yet to get their season started, with the first two rounds of matches being called off due to rain and ground conditions.
U16 College Blue
The College Blue team had their first round match against Hamilton Cricket Club moved into the second week due to rain. The boys managed to get a score of 95/6 off the allotted 24 overs. George Huf (26*) and Ted Hunter (24) top scored with the bat. Ted Hunter’s good day continued with ball in hand as his 4 overs went for only 5 runs. Will Bourke and Sam Mecham got a wicket each, with some economical bowling by the attack restricting Hamilton to 93 runs. Darcy Milne was tasked with bowling the last over and got College home in a very tight match, College won the match by 2 runs.
U16 College Gold
After a first round, the College Gold team had their two-day match against Casterton District Cricket Club reduced to a one day match to avoid the forecasted rain in week 3. Casterton won the toss and elected to bat first, making a score of 76/7 off their allotted 24 overs. Top performers with the ball for College were Tom Hill (2/17) and Samuel Tonissen (1/3). In their batting innings College managed to get close to their target, with Tom Templeton (20*) and Cooper Edmonds (16*) top scoring. College lost the match by 6 runs.
