Year 7 SMR Basketball

On Friday 4 November we had the Southern Metropolitan Regionals for year 7 basketball at Dandenong. The team played really well against many schools including Berwick and Keysborough but sadly they lost against Berwick.

In the first game, against Edenbrook Secondary College  won 30 to 13 but then lost against Berwick 25 to 15 and finally won against Keysborough 44 to 8. The team went all out and killed it and gave it all they’ve got.

A massive and huge thankyou to Ms Kennedy for driving us their with her great Triple J music as well as sharing lots of helpful skills. Another big  thankyou to Kasey for coming along with us, as well as Ms Bell coming during the second game to cheer on the team.

Do you want to be a student coach in 2023?

As we prepare for 2023, students in Year 9 and above will shortly be able to consider taking part in the Interschool Sport coaching program. Often I receive over 100 applications from students interested in developing their leadership opportunities and forming new friendships with other students, where we do our best to include as many students into the program where possible.

All the relevant information will be shared with the school community in the next issue of the newsletter as well as via Compass and email. Please ensure that you read the information carefully as well completing the application form by the due date provided.

Borrowed sport uniform

A reminder to all students and families as we draw towards the end of our sporting calendar to ensure that any borrowed sport uniform including athletic singlets, football jumpers, soccer tops or socks must be returned to Ms Parker in the Gym office before the end of the school year.
