Ministry and Care

Pastor Peter Janetzki

Children sometimes have a delightful way of seeing things.  For example:

  • Having a baby is a very good way to slim
  • I saw a dog by a streetlight trying to do ballet
  • After you put sugar in your tea you have to wind it up with a spoon
  • Walking would be difficult if our legs weren’t split down the middle
  • The nice part of me gave some toys to charity.  The rest of me was jealous.
  • Mum says that sometimes she wishes her name was anything but Mum
  • I’m not cheating; it’s just my way of winning
  • My baby brother can wink, but only when I stick a finger in his eye
  • I know why you married Dad.  It’s because he looks a lot like me.

God has a wonderful way of seeing people: through the saving work of his Son, Jesus.  The big advantage of this is that when God looks at someone, God doesn’t see their broken and sinful nature.  Instead, all God sees is Jesus’ perfect life, making them eligible for life with God eternally.

Like God, it’s often best for us to see people differently, too.
