Advent

The time of Advent is the four week period of preparation for the season of Christmas.

This Sunday 27th November, is the first Sunday that begins the Season of Advent; we awaken our hearts in hope for the arrival of Jesus.

In our prayers at school we will light a candle on class Advent Wreaths. It has 4 candles representing the 4 weeks of Advent leading to Christmas. We light a new candle each week and each week has a different focus for us to reflect upon.

During RE over the next few weeks, students will be looking at ways that we wait and prepare for different things in our lives and connect that to the time of Advent and our preparation for Christmas.

Take Care,
