We hope you have had a restful and rejuvenating break. We are so happy to see all our students back after the holidays and how excited they are to see their friends, class mates and teachers.

Building emotional intelligence

Our teams have been working through our NMPS Wellbeing Learning to Learn program to help build skills and strategies for our students to build their emotional intelligence and resilience after what has been a roller coaster of two years. We look forward to you seeing more of this work during our Open Classroom evening on the 17th February.

As a staff we have also been privileged to have two professional learning sessions with Nairn Walker on workplace wellbeing and student engagement. We are also very lucky to further engage working with Nairn later in the year on student capacity.

Every day counts - maintaining contact with your teacher

We hope you saw our Compass post on school attendance, every day counts, we take attendance very seriously at NMPS as every day of attending school counts. Communication is also key so if your child is unwell, isolating, or has an appointment please communicate with your child’s teacher and log the absence on Compass. If your child is absent without a reason your child’s teacher will be making contact with you.  Please remember we are here to support you and your family, if you have any concerns regarding your child’s wellbeing or attendance please get in touch with their teacher or the wellbeing team.
