Week 1 in the kitchen we welcomed back Year 4. Together we made a cherry tomato and basil focaccia. Everyone worked as a team to accurately measure out all of the ingredients for our dough. We added yeast and lukewarm water and then waited to see how dough changed after resting.
The result was a soft and spongy dough which we then gently stretched out and topped with our seasonal toppings. We brushed with olive oil and crushed garlic and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Our finished product was crunchy, crispy, soft, spongy and delicious! Not a crumb was left in the kitchen.
Well done Year 4 on a fantastic start to the term in the kitchen.
