From the Auslan classroom

 We have started the year by emphasising that some things will only be accepted if signed in the Auslan classroom. Remember if you want to go to the bathroom you need to sign it! (With a few exceptions as we get used to being back at school).

We have also learnt signing the year in which we were born and connecting that to the Lunar New Year and the Chinese Zodiac.

Lastly, we had a look at a difficult skill in Auslan. Watching someone signing and recognising that if they sign with their right hand, it appears on our left side. A tricky concept! We played noughts and crosses to think about and practice that skill.
