Important notice for departing families and Year 6 Families
For families who are leaving OGPS or have a child in Year 6, you might like to download your child’s Seesaw journal entries if you would like to keep them. All returning students in 2022 will still have their old work accessible in their Seesaw journal from previous years even though they will be in a new class.
Please use a computer and a Chrome or Firefox browser only, the .zip file will not download on a mobile or tablet device.
Here are the steps to download a student’s journal from Seesaw:
- Sign into your Family or Student account at https://app.seesaw.me.
- Tap your Profile Icon on the top left.
- Tap Account settings.
- Scroll down and tap Download Journal Archives.
- Tap the 'Download Journal' button for the journal you want to download. This might take a while depending on your Internet speed and how many posts your child has in Seesaw.
- What you get in the download: Files organized by month and then ordered by the date the post was added. You'll see an .html file with a thumbnail, text notes or captions, folder names, and links (if the post used the Link Creative Tool). You'll also see the original image, video, or audio files.
Alternatively, families and students could scroll through the student journal on their device and take screenshots and screen recordings of their favourite pieces of work. This would be helpful if your child only wanted to save a few pieces of work.
