Flexible Therapy Service Options and Covid Planning
For therapy to be successful, it's important that therapy appointments are attended at the frequency recommended by your therapist. We understand that sometimes it's difficult to attend scheduled appointments. It's a good idea to chat to your therapist about a plan for when you or your child can't make their scheduled appointment. We are commited to you and your child's success and will do everything we can to ensure your child can continue to work on their therapy goals.
Covid is an ever-present threat and may be causing your child to feel stressed and anxious. What can our therapists help with?
With the impact of Covid affecting an increasing number of our families, in addition to the delayed start of Term One, our therapists are well-equipped to support you. Our therapists can assist with anxiety management, transition planning, school readiness, routines, and other life skills.
We are commited to work with you to minimise disruption to your child's therapy plan and welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how we can work best with you to continue to achieve your child's health and wellbeing goals.
During these uncertain times we are able to continue to support your family by offering flexible options for accessing therapy. These include:

We have a range of evidence based programs and services on offer.
Telehealth
Our therapists are trained to deliver telehealth services and are creative, responsive and flexible in their telehealth delivery. Because of the Covid pandemic, telehealth has become a much welcome and highly effective approach to supporting ongoing therapy for our clients, while ensuring their health and safety, and that of their families and our therapists.
We can provide direct therapy to your child via telehealth, and also provide parent coaching - which involves working with you directly to learn and integrate therapy strategies into your daily life.
Non Face to Face services
A complete and effective therapy program not only involves the therapist working directly with your child. Our most effective programs are those that include:
- direct one-on-one therapy with your child
- completion of appropriate assessments for baseline information and to track progress against goals
- therapy planning and goal setting sessions and reviews
- parent coaching sessions
- provision of resources (such as schedules, visual aids, take home activities)
- documentation and reporting of therapy goals and outcomes, and
- liaison with all caregivers including other health professionals and educators
When we recommend these services and request that these activities are budgeted for, it is to ensure we are working optimally towards your child's success. If you cancel an appointment, we will always offer to utilise the lost time by providing an alternative service. This is to ensure we remain focused on your child's progress with therapy and are providing the best possible service we can.
