Nude Food Day

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to inform you that on Thursday the 7th November the OLSC Year 5’s will be holding a Nude Food Day.

This means that you do not send your child/children with plastic in their lunch boxes. For example no zip lock bags, chip wrappers, juices boxes etc.

Plastic is not only bad for us but also has detrimental effects on our environment. For example, many animals are dying because they mistake plastic for food and once eaten this causes problems in their bodies. If we keep doing what we are doing, some animals will become extinct!

So please encourage your child/children to participate in the Nude Food Day on Thursday the 7th of November.

Thank You,

The Year 5 Cohort

Come Dressed as a Farmer Day

Greetings parents,

We are writing to inform you that on Thursday 14th of November 2019, we are having a day dedicated to Australian farmers that are suffering because of drought.  On this occasion, please encourage your child to dress up as a farmer and to bring as much money as you can spare. We are attempting to raise at least $450 that will be used to purchase 11,500 litres of water which will be going towards a farming family in need of water (Buy a Bale). Any extra money raised will be used to buy additional feed. There is a prize for the class that raises the most money in excess of $60.

Thank you for supporting such a great cause,

Lisa’s Grade 5 mini-project team.
