Wow…and that’s this year done!! It’s been a wonderful year getting to know all the students, both old and new, at our fantastic school.  I also met a few parents along the way, which was great too!

This year seems to have gone by in a flash, but we certainly packed a lot into it.  Book Fair was a big success as was the Book Club Catalogue during the year.  Your ongoing support of both of these is really appreciated as they help supplement funds to the purchase of school books and educational items.

My biggest thanks for the year goes to all the students (and their parents and teachers) for it being the most successful year in the return of books at the end of the year.  Some books from last year were even found…whoo hoo!!  Since I’ve been working in the library, after Barb retired in 2016, I am yet to have a class return every single book; that is, until this year.  Congratulations to MU6 for being the first class in four years to have all their books returned.  CU1 also managed this amazing feat on Wednesday with the last of their books being returned – two classes in one year!! I couldn’t be more pleased.  Let’s top it next year!

Tuesday night I attended the Year 6 Graduation.  Congratulations to all the Year 6’s and the 5/6 teachers for a wonderful night, which really showed off what an eclectic, diverse, delightful and amazing group of students that really showed off how ready they are to take the next step to high school.  To all the Year 6’s and any other students who are leaving us at the end of this year, I wish you all the very best and the greatest of luck going forward in your schooling and beyond.  And keep reading!!

And to everyone, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.  I look forward to catching up with you next year, and look forward to hearing about all the fantastic books that were read over the holidays.
