HELP NEEDED WATERING GARDEN over holidays

The School year might be over, but many of the seedlings planted by the children are still growing and need care over summer, if we are to get any fruit/veggies when we return next year. There is 45,000 litres of rainwater in the tanks, but we need volunteers to sprinkle it on the plants.

If you are able to help with watering over the School holidays please give me a call or SMS.

As thanks for watering, you’re welcome to pick some of the herbs and veggies to eat at home.

2019 wrap

A huge thanks to everyone who has helped out in the garden this year – children, adults (ESPECIALLY MEL!) and community groups. The garden is back to its former glory. With weekly classes, Children’s Garden Club, Environmental Leaders and other senior students using the space, it is certainly helping to get us out into the fresh air, active and learning and spending time in nature.

Attached are several photos from this weeks garden activities. MU4 planting the seedlings they grew in class then did a rain dance to help them get through the heat, while Garden Club kids took home free tomato seedlings as a thank you for all the work they have put into the garden this year.

See you in 2020.
