Principal's Report

Exciting time of year...

Parent tours

It was extremely rewarding and pleasing to welcome two groups of parent tours back to our school today.  We had approximately 14 altogether on the morning and evening tours.

My aim is to re-engage our parent / carer group of community members, by sharing a tour of our new school facilities.

So whether you're a new or established school family, please consider booking into one of the next two tours next week.

  1. Wednesday 1 December, 9-10am; or
  2. Wednesday 1 December, 5:15-6:15pm

It would be fantastic to show more community members around and celebrate the old and the new of our expanded school.  Please make bookings with one of our wonderful office staff in person or on 5334 6328.

National Transition Day

The state-wide National Transition Day is fast approaching on Tuesday 7th December.  We always look forward to sharing with excited students, their 2022 class placements of rooms and teachers.

Please support students with looking forward to this day and not build tension or angst around placements with certain friends or staff.  Students pick up on your own anxieties and this is counter-productive to a successful (not to mention, exciting) experience.

  • 2022 Foundation students meet in Davey Building for 9:30-12:00pm activities;
  • 2022 Year 1/2  students meet in 2021 home rooms before Yr1 students stay in Millie Building and Yr2 walk to Brady Building for 9:10-12:30 activities;
  • 2022 Year 3/4  students meet in 2021 home rooms before Yr3 students stay in Brady Building and Yr4 walk to the Senior Learning Centre for 9:10-12:30 activities; and
  • 2022 Year 5 students meet and stay in their 2021 home rooms at the Senior Learning Centre for 9:10-12:30 activities.

Year 6 students will enjoy a day of Secondary School experiences.

Walk-a-thon

Thanks to our Communications Committee and hard working Junior School Councillors for arranging our Walk-a-thon this coming Friday.

We will welcome all sponsors, laps from students and supporting parents/carers, who are welcome to join their children.

Please be advised, parents/carers who enter our site, must be double vaccinated according to Victorian Government regulations.

It will be great to see students dressed in their 'fluoro' colours to ensure a colourful and exciting day for all to enjoy.

We will celebrate funds raised and super efforts at our whole-school Friday assembly.

New LED Signage

Our new LED sign at the front of the school has arrived.  It not only looks great, but will hopefully be informative and useful to our community, with its messaging.

Friday Assembly - parents welcome

We are back holding assemblies each fortnight in the Kim barne Nitji building (gym).

Assembly is at 2:45pm Friday.

Parents/carers are welcome to attend, wearing masks, exercising social distancing and must be double vaccinated.

Presentation Night

Protect the date!

Wednesday 15th, December.

5:30pm family picnic / fish 'n' chips, followed by 6:00pm formalities.

If we all behave, we may have a special 'jolly' guest at the conclusion of the evening (approx 8-8:15pm).

Can't wait to finally celebrate two difficult years of education, with us all on-site for our Presentation Evening.

The night will have all students participating in their year level Carol, on stage.  We will also include all the regular acknowledgements and award winners.

Please ensure you add this event to your calendar - can't wait to see us all back together...

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
