Class of 2021 Valedictory Dinner

Last week we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2021 with a Valedictory Dinner held at Lakeside Receptions. This was the first function that the students of the class of 2021 were able to attend as a cohort and they revelled in the  opportunity to share memories and celebrate their time at the College. Of course, it would have been even more special if their families could have attended. The students were reminded that they have the potential to be great contributors to society if they try their very best.

End of Year Activities

Parents and students are reminded that there is still much learning that continues right up until the end of the year. Students in all classes continue to learn and focus on literacy and numeracy and complete activities in specialist classes.  Some fun, school-based activities have been arranged for Primary and Dunhelen students in the next few weeks to celebrate the end of year.

Respect and Kindness

Respect and Kindness are two of our College values and students were reminded about them in assemblies this week. With so much time spent alone during Home Learning, returning to school where students need to take turns, be patient and socialise appropriately can be a challenge. At school we are focusing on the importance of thinking before you act, listening and speaking respectfully.

Hume Whittlesea LLEN Vocational Education Awards 2021

The Hume Whittlesea LLEN continues to recognise and award students excelling in vocational education in our local schools. The HWLLEN Vocational Education Awards are proudly supported by Hume City Council, the City of Whittlesea, and the Hume and Whittlesea Youth Commitments, and celebrate student achievements in VCAL, VET and SBAT.

These awards aim to promote the importance and relevance of vocational education and training pathways and celebrate the students’ engagement and achievements within their chosen fields. The awards are based on the students' results, attitudes and achievements, and are nominated by their schools and are endorsed through recommendations from employers, teachers and work placement coordinators.
