Galilee Out of School Hours

Family Liaison Volunteer Role

This year Galilee will continue to have a Family Liaison volunteer parent role.  This role was established as a voluntary position by a parent so that Galilee School could ensure that families experiencing difficult times due to injury, illness, unforeseen circumstances, experiencing a bereavement, new families arriving to the school and even celebrating the arrival of a new family member would be reached out to by the school community.

In 2017 we had children with major injuries receive cards or a small gift from the school, meals were provided for families experiencing illness thanks to the generosity of so many of our Galilee families, flowers for new babies, cards to acknowledge the passing of loved ones and many phone calls offering a welcome or support.

My name is Jess and I am a parent at Galilee and will be continuing this volunteer role in 2018.  I have two children at the Galilee, John in Year 4 and Eva in Year 2, and George will be coming to Prep next year.  The Family Liaison Role can only be successful and reach out to as many families as possible if we let the school know of a family who is experiencing any of the above.  This may be done by letting our Wellbeing Leader know, Julianne Price, by letting your year level parent reps know, telling Wendy in the office or by contacting me at jess_evalind@yahoo.com.au or phoning me on 0404531629.

Galilee Running Group

Galilee running group is back each Thursday of term (not including first or last weeks) from 7:45 - 8:35am.

For a small family fee the kids enjoy a great start to the day, and a fruit or help roster allows all parents to get involved where they can.

Come and join us and work towards your marathon status for the year!

Please contact the office to obtain the registration forms.

Payment can be made via simple bank account transfer - so complete your registration and payment and we will see you next Thursday!
