ECU

Entry requirements for this course can vary depending on your circumstances.

CURTIN UNIVERSITY

This entry pathway is for creative students who wish to enrol in an Arts course based on motivation and potential for creative aptitude. Apply for your specific course online through TISC. Submit your portfolio and supporting documents by the link provided on the above website.

UWA

Students study individual units of their choice and if they complete four units and with the approval of the relevant Faculty, they may be eligible for a place at UWA. Students must have achieved WACE.

NOTRE DAME

Admission into the Tertiary Pathway Program is assessed on an individual basis. Interested students apply directly to the university.

Students who successfully complete a Certificate IV level qualification, may get entry into one of the universities undergraduate courses. Before embarking on this alternative pathway, students are advised to first contact their university of choice to confirm whether the university would accept their proposed Cert qualification.

What are VET qualifications - The basics

TAFE and private training colleges offer a range of qualifications, from Certificate I up to Graduate Diplomas.

Here is a breakdown of TAFE and training qualifications:

Certificate I courses teach basic skills that can be used in simple jobs
Certificate II courses train participants for entry-level positions or apprenticeships
Certificate III courses help you to develop skills, knowledge and problem-solving abilities
Certificate IV courses train you for supervisory and management positions
Diploma courses teach skills in professional, technical or creative fields
Associate Degrees and Advanced Diploma courses teach high-level skills in technical, professional and creative fields

There are private training providers that also offer Certificates and Diplomas.

Vantage Automotive 2018 Apprenticeships – Applications Open

Applications are now being sought from students that are interested in a career within the automotive industry as an Automotive Technician or Parts Interpreter. Interested students are invited to apply for the Automotive Modern Apprenticeship Program and, if selected, will be offered full time employment at a dealer close to their home and flown to Sydney for block training.  This is a funded program with minimal cost to the student.
