Student Wellbeing

From the Deputy Principal Student Wellbeing

As we enter the winter months and the days seem to be getting shorter, darker and more miserable, l invite all members of our community not to retreat to our homes or to ourselves, but rather continue to embrace the fullness and breadth of living in a diverse and wonderful community.  Let us use the holidays as an opportunity to reconnect with one another as a family.

Child Safe Team

Ms Kate Dishon, Mr Steven Mifsud, Mrs Danielle Fairthorne, Mrs Maree Ryan, Ms Kelly Smith  (parent representatives), Celine Lopez (Year 12) and Mia Paladino (year 10) student representative. If you have any Child Safety concerns, please contact the College.

Living Arrangements/ Court Orders/ Family Orders

To best support your daughter the College needs to know of changes to addresses, living arrangements and telephone numbers.

The Deputy Principal Student Wellbeing must be informed of any special circumstances that may affect a student.  If custody and access has been determined by court orders, then the original must be made available for our office to make a copy.

Social Worker Students

In Semester Two the College is fortunate enough to have two Social Work students engaged in study at the College.  We are excited to announce that Jess Anderson and Clare Duong-Thai will work with our Wellbeing Team and staff to further explore positive wellbeing strategies.

Year 8 Wellbeing Leader

At the end of week 2, Ms Jane Sammutt is taking long service leave and she will be replaced by Mrs Kelly Sexton.  If you have any concerns with your daughter at this time, please email her Pastoral Group Teacher and/ or Mrs Sexton.

Uniform

As we have entered the Winter Season a number of students have not been wearing the uniform with pride.  I ask that you work with your  daughter to ensure she is wearing the correct uniform on the right day and that her skirt length is to the knee.

Students are not to wear any clothing that is not part of the College uniform, and it will be confiscated.
