Pathways and Transition

It’s been a busy week with more Year 12 students seeking advice and starting to apply for early offers. The Year 10 Pathway Planning classes have been using the online Study Hacks program focusing on the wellbeing sections of the course. Dr Jane Genovese presents this course in an engaging and practical manner and gives some excellent study advice.  This program was also made available to the Year 11 students through their Year Team. It is well worth a look!

Please also check the year group SEQTA Documents for information relating to Pathways and Transition.

VET-in-schools programs prove great career starters

Secondary school students who undertake school-based apprenticeships and traineeships are among the most likely to be in full-time permanent employment five years later, according to a new report by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).

The report VET for secondary school students (VfSSS): post- school employment and training destinations also shows they were more likely to be employed in an occupation relevant to

their VfSSS course than students who did not undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship as part of school studies..”

You can find the report HERE.
