Umbrellas by the Preps
The Prep students have been hard at work mixing tints to paint the background of the umbrella. A tint is a colour mixed with white to make it lighter. They then used a wide range of different tools to create different marks, such as cotton buds, sticks, cardboard rolls, corflute etc. They looked fabulous hanging around at the school fete.

Year Six students' thoughts about the past seven years of Visual Arts at Kingswood.
Art to me is life. A way to express your emotions and relieve stress. I believe that art can show/tell your emotions better than you can put them into words. Art can be anything you want it to be if you believe.
Zoe 6M
To me art is a hobby, passion, friend and life outside of this life. Also, without art I would be bored. That’s how much I like art.
Zack 6R
Art has meant a lot to me this past seven years because it has grown my confidence and creativity. It makes my imagination go wild every time. I will miss art next year.
Maegan 6S
Art is about having fun and there is no right way to do it. It does not have to look a certain way to be a perfect piece of art. Learning new skills have been really fun but the best art lesson has been learning how to break mirror and make our kaleidoscopes.
Mila 6W
Art has meant a lot to me and I do arty things at home. From an only child’s perspective, art lets me take my mind off things. Simona 6B
Over the past seven years, Art has let me relax and be really creative and let my emotions out. It doesn’t matter what type of piece of art I am doing, I can always see my personality and interests in it.
