Well the final Scholastic Book Club brochure has been given out and borrowing from the library has finished for the year. With only 4 weeks left of school, I find myself wondering where the year went. Part of my end of year routine is to complete a stocktake of the library books, and I really do need to have all the books returned to the library by no later than Friday 1st December. Any overdue books are to be returned immediately, to avoid a $10 replacement fee. Please help your children to look for any books they cannot find.

Remember that reading must continue all through the holidays, so students can maintain their reading abilities and the enjoyment of reading too. The local Public Library is a great place to take the kids over the holidays, to borrow all sorts of books to keep them going.

In this Newsletter, I have included an interesting article about the phenomena of getting sick on the holidays. It seems there are some very real reasons why this happens. Please take a moment to read the article and maybe prevent this happening to you, or someone you know.
